Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure as a School Social Worker or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience in educational or youth-focused environments is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized student support plans.
  • Knowledge of relevant special education laws and best practices.
  • Comfortable working with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students social, emotional, and behavioral needs, providing targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and outside agencies to create supportive networks for students.
  • Support students through crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and individual or group counseling.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and help develop strategies tailored to each students needs.
  • Conduct classroom presentations on social-emotional topics and foster a positive school climate.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
  • Advocate for student resources and ensure the provision of appropriate services.
