Step into a rewarding role supporting students communication progress as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for a local K-12 school district near Woodbridge, VA. This contract position begins August 24th, 2026, and continues through June 12th, 2027, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact throughout the academic year.
As a valued member of the educational team, youll collaborate with licensed SLPs to maximize student success, all while working a consistent Monday through Friday schedule35 hours per week, 7 hours each day. This setting is ideal for dedicated professionals eager to grow their skills and contribute to the development of children and adolescents.
Desired Qualifications: Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communications, or a related field Valid/current license or authorization to work as an SLPA Experience working with K-12 students is strongly preferred Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to different grade levels and learning needs
Primary Responsibilities: Implement speech and language therapy plans as designed by supervising SLPs Work directly with students in individual or small group sessions Assist with data collection, documentation, and progress monitoring Support IEP goals and provide input during team meetings as requested Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures
