Job Description

A position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students within a K-12 educational setting in Texico, NM. This contract role spans the current school year and offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek across five days, focusing on delivering speech-language services to a diverse age group.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must hold valid New Mexico SLPA Certification
  • Experience working in school environments preferred

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists, educators, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing individualized speech-language therapy plans under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists
  • Monitor and document student progress and communicate findings
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing strategies that enhance student communication skills
  • Support inclusive classroom activities by providing speech-language assistance as needed
