Job Description
This position is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a valid California SLPA certification, interested in working within a K-12 school setting. The role focuses on supporting early childhood to pre-K and Kindergarten students, providing essential speech and language services that contribute to their developmental success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLPA certification.
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology assistance preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work collaboratively with educators and therapists.
Location: Sylmar, CA
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to early childhood students, primarily pre-K and kindergarten age.
- Support licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing treatment plans.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and clinicians to support student communication goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and school policies.
Job Details:
- Contract position for the current school year (CSY).
- 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week.
- Caseload size varies based on student needs and program requirements.
