Job Description

Located in Santa Cruz, CA, this contract position offers an opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide direct therapy services in an elementary school setting. The role is focused on working with students from kindergarten through fifth grade, delivering quality support in speech and language development within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to K-5 students
  • Manage an itinerant caseload across multiple elementary schools within the district
  • Coordinate travel between assigned schools; travel time will be paid, and mileage reimbursement may be applicable
  • Collaborate with school staff to support students communication goals and progress

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required
  • Experience working as an SLPA in school or healthcare settings preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage itinerant caseload
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with elementary-age children

Location & Schedule:

  • Position based in Santa Cruz, CA within an elementary school setting
  • Contract duration through the current school year until June 2026
  • Approximately 32.5 hours per week with paid travel time included
