Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within an elementary school setting in Salinas, CA. This contract role extends through the current school year, from ASAP through June 2026, supporting K-5 students with direct therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-5.
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized intervention plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to enhance student communication skills.
  • Travel between assigned schools as necessary; travel time is compensated.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred, with comfort serving elementary-aged children.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an educational team.
  • Willingness to travel within the district; mileage reimbursement may apply.

Work Schedule and Location:

  • Location: Salinas, CA.
  • Hours: Approximately 32.5 hours per week.
  • Position Type: Contract for the current school year.
