Step into a dynamic educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, providing vital support at a single, welcoming school serving students from pre-K through 6th grade. This full-time, onsite opportunity allows you to build meaningful relationships with up to 50 students, delivering speech and language therapy services essential for their growth and academic success. The role is contract-based, spanning the entire 2026-2027 school year, from August into June, offering you stability and the chance to make a tangible impact in each child's life.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA certification required
- Experience in a school environment providing speech-language support preferred
- Comfort working with elementary and early childhood populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to engage collaboratively with a team of educators and therapists
- Passion for fostering student progress and developing individualized strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services as outlined by supervising SLPs
- Maintain accurate session notes and track student progress
- Implement individualized therapy activities tailored to each students needs
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment at the school
- Participate in school meetings and collaborate on intervention plans as needed
