Join a K-12 educational setting in Portales, NM, as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) under a contract for the current school year. This role supports speech-language services for students across all grade levels, ensuring effective communication development and therapeutic interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico SLPA Certification is required
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads and collaborate with educators and therapists
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Portales, NM
- 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week schedule
- Contract duration aligns with the current school year
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support services to K-12 students as directed by licensed speech-language pathologists
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collect and document progress data
- Communicate student needs and progress with therapists, teachers, and parents
- Maintain professional standards and confidentiality
