Job Description

An immediate full-time opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students within a school district located in Ocean City, MD. This contract position runs through the school year (ASAP to end of school year) and involves itinerant work across two school sites with paid travel time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to an assigned caseload of up to 40 students
  • Participate in indirect hours, including documentation, planning, and paid team meetings
  • Work collaboratively with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist provided by the district
  • Utilize district-specific IEP systems with training supported
  • Maintain compliance with Maryland SLPA licensure and fingerprinting requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Maryland SLPA license is required
  • Experience working in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
  • Ability to manage caseloads and travel between multiple school sites
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in collaborating with educational teams
  • Comfort using virtual platforms such as Zoom for interviews and meetings
