Job Description

A full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available at a K-12 school in Newport, TN for the upcoming school year. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students ranging from PreK through 12th grade, including those in transition programs. The position requires on-site work and offers a dynamic caseload geared toward school-based speech and language services.

Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Valid Tennessee SLP or SLPA license
  • Experience working with school-age children from PreK to 12th grade
  • Ability to provide teletherapy and in-person services
  • Familiarity with speech language pathology in both school and healthcare settings
  • Completion of Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) roles and responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and healthcare providers to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Provide teletherapy services as needed to supplement onsite therapy
