A K-12 school in New Mexico is seeking a certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support services to students. This position offers a full-time schedule over the traditional school year with consistent hours and professional growth opportunities.
Location: Clovis, NM
Position Type: Contract, School-Year (CSY)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Age Group Served: Students in grades K-12
Key Qualifications:
- Current New Mexico SLPA Certification required
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with speech-language pathologists and educational staff
- Ability to implement speech therapy plans and assist in student progress monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist
- Assist in evaluating student needs and documenting progress
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of student information
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to maximize student outcomes
