Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Completion of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent.
• Active SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in Virginia.
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
• Collaborates well as part of an educational team and independently.
• Organized, self-motivated, and compassionate approach with students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Support individualized education plan implementation for students with communication needs.
• Document therapy sessions and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success.
• Assist with preparation of therapy materials and activities tailored to student goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions as needed.
