Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with educators and specialized staff to implement speech and language programs tailored to student needs.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students requiring speech and language support and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide direct therapy services in accordance with state and district guidelines.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and faculty regarding student progress and needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or relevant equivalent.
  • Experience working in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
