Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, providing direct support to elementary students for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, school-based position where you'll enjoy a consistent daytime schedule, working exclusively onsite as part of a collaborative educational team.
What Youll Do:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students, tailored to individual needs
- Assist with assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate in IEP meetings and work closely with special education professionals and classroom teachers
- Ensure strict adherence to all district and state guidelines for student care and service delivery
- Offer support and encouragement to help every child find their voice
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous school-based experience is an advantage, but not required
- Solid understanding of both school and healthcare SLPA responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for helping children succeed
