Job Description

An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide therapeutic support within a K-12 educational setting in the Berlin, MD area. This contract position spans the current school year, with a start date ASAP through the end of the year. This role offers a dynamic caseload supporting up to 40 students across two school sites, delivering itinerant services with paid travel time included.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech-language therapy plans under district-provided supervision
  • Collaborate with educators and therapists to support individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the districts IEP system, with training provided
  • Participate in paid team meetings and complete required administrative duties
  • Provide indirect services and support as outlined by the therapy team

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland SLPA License is required
  • Experience working with K-12 school-aged children preferred
  • Ability to manage an itinerant caseload with effective time management
  • Strong communication skills to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to supporting students communication goals in an educational environment

Location: Berlin, MD with assignments at two school sites within the district
