Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
  • Experience working with children, particularly in educational settings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of mild to moderate speech and language disorders
  • Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and promoting their success

Location: Belton, TX area

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide direct support to students with speech and language needs
  • Conduct data collection and documentation of student progress
  • Facilitate small group sessions to promote communication skills
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Support students in their daily activities as needed
