Job Description

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a travel position in Zion, IL, serving school-aged children in grades K-5. This onsite role offers a unique chance to work closely with a diverse caseload of 20-40 students, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, and other communication challenges. The position utilizes a push-in service delivery model, providing integrated support within the classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of needs, including developmental and neurological disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication goals
  • Utilize assessment tools to identify student strengths and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and clinical supervision as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Endorsement
  • Experience serving school-aged children in K-5 inclusive settings preferred
  • Familiarity with working with students on the autism spectrum, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities
  • Ability to deliver push-in therapy and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
