Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a leave of absence at an elementary school in Woodridge, IL. This contract role begins in January, with shadow days available in December, and is expected to last through March 2. The position involves working with a caseload of students in grades K-6 within a supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for students in kindergarten through sixth grade
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in team meetings and provide consultation as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Experience working in pediatric and school settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
