Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a K-12 school setting in Woodbridge, VA, serving an itinerant caseload within the district. This contract position offers engagement with diverse pediatric populations, including teletherapy services, and is ideal for candidates holding an SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services across grades K-12, addressing individual student IEP goals.
  • Deliver both direct and indirect therapy, including participating in team meetings and documentation.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  • Facilitate itinerant services across multiple school locations as assigned.
  • Utilize teletherapy methods as appropriate to meet student needs.
  • Maintain compliance with district procedures and therapy documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology credentials; SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY strongly preferred.
  • Experience providing pediatric speech-language services in school and healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and pediatric caseload management.
  • Ability to work independently in itinerant roles and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate within school multidisciplinary teams.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position located in Woodbridge, VA.
  • Contract length corresponds with the school year (CSY) with anticipated start ASAP through the end of the school year.
  • Part-time hours ranging between 4 to 8 hours per week with travel between assigned schools.
