Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with California licensure is sought for a contract position serving middle and high school students in a non-public school setting. This role involves direct, on-site therapy and assessment services with a focus on pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology.

Location: Whittier, CA
Duration: Contract through mid-December 2025
Schedule: 40 hours per week, full-time
Setting: Non-public school serving middle and high school students

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized speech-language therapy to students with a wide range of disabilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
  • Deliver compensatory speech services outside of regular school hours as required for student needs
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student communication goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and service delivery

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) credential
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred
  • Experience working in pediatric and school-based speech pathology settings
  • Familiarity with middle and high school populations and their communication needs
  • Strong assessment and therapeutic skills to address a variety of speech and language disorders
