Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a local school setting. This onsite position is located near Waukegan, IL, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with mild to moderate disabilities. Youll join a welcoming school community and provide vital speech-language services to a manageable caseload.
What You'll Do:
- Manage a student caseload capped at 45
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Deliver direct therapy minutes in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Track and document student progress, maintaining compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in meetings and support school-based initiatives as needed
Ideal Background:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement
- SLP-CCC certification required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working with children who have mild to moderate speech and language needs
