Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity working with high school seniors as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for the 2024/2025 school year. This rewarding position begins August 19, 2024, and runs through May 30, 2025. Youll dedicate 35 hours per week supporting students in 12th grade, making a meaningful impact on their communication skills as they prepare for graduation and their next steps.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC credential
- Eligibility for Illinois state licensure
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Passion for working with teenagers in a supportive, educational environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to high school seniors, with specific caseload numbers confirmed at assignment start
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure coordinated support
- Maintain appropriate documentation and regular progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Follow district, state, and federal rules and guidelines for student services
