Job Description

This is a contract position located near Waukegan, IL, requiring a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) ready to work with a diverse student body. The ideal candidate will join a robust team that includes social workers, psychologists, and special education supervisorsall working closely to ensure student success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois SLP license
  • Professional Educators License (PEL) issued through ISBE for Illinois schools
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric, school-aged populations
  • Knowledge of IEP, eligibility, and evaluation processes in school settings

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 35-45 students, in collaboration with 3-5 SLPs per school
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and support eligibility determination for special education services
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to development and implementation of individualized plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support RtI initiatives and deliver holistic services
  • Maintain thorough documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical standards
