Job Description

Two Speech-Language Pathologist Positions Available Waukegan, IL (Contract, School Year)

We are seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support local schools in Waukegan, IL. These contract roles provide an excellent opportunity to contribute to student success during the current school year.

Position Details:

  • Role 1: Part-time SLP, 0.4 FTE (2 days per week) for the remainder of the school year
  • Role 2: Full-time long-term substitute SLP, from December 29 through April 17

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois SLP license
  • Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools issued through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Experience with pediatric and school-based speech therapy preferred
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is a plus
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion valued

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language assessments, therapy, and consultations to students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain documentation and comply with educational regulations and standards
  • Support communication goals within the school environment
