Job Description

Providing speech-language services for pediatric students in an elementary school setting, this position offers a professional opportunity to support children in grades K-5 during the 2025-2026 school year. This contract role is based in Waukegan, IL, and requires delivering effective assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions to help young learners develop vital communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports in accordance with school policies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) endorsement
  • Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
  • Experience working in pediatric speech-language pathology, especially within elementary school environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and school personnel
  • Ability to manage a caseload and maintain organized records
