An opportunity is available for skilled Speech Language Pathologists to support K-12 students primarily within a Pre-K caseload in Waterford, MI. This contract position runs from November 8, 2025, through June 12, 2026, offering a 35-hour workweek in an engaging educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address students specific goals.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure integrated support.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and school guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- For candidates serving Flint, demonstrate understanding of the challenges urban children face and recommend appropriate resources to support families.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Speech Language Pathologist license in Michigan.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Candidates with School SLP qualifications are highly desirable.
- Clinical Fellows (CFYs) may be considered if they hold a temporary license; Flint specifically prefers CFYs with an established supervisor.
- University transcripts must be provided with the resume for submission.
- Strong communication skills and cultural competence in working with diverse student populations.
