Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Michigan SLP license required
- Previous school-based experience preferred, especially in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to different age groups and needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals
- Deliver direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, for a range of speech and language disorders
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Maintain thorough records of progress and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines
- Provide resources and training to staff and families as needed
