Job Description

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support elementary students across multiple school locations in Sarasota, FL. This contract role is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and will continue through May 27, 2026. The position offers part-time hours totaling 28 hours per week, spread over four days across different elementary schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students.
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to students unique communication needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by Florida Department of Education standards.
  • Participate in meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Florida Department of Education certification in Speech-Language Pathology and/or licensure in Speech/Language.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in educational settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school staff and families.
  • Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites.

Location:

  • This role will require service delivery at multiple Sarasota elementary schools, including Wilkinson Elementary (3 days/week) and Tatum Ridge Elementary (1 day/week).
  • On-site presence is mandatory; no virtual or VOCO options available.
