This contract opportunity, based near Urbana, IL, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for working with pediatric populations. You'll play a key role in fostering students communication skills and supporting their overall academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid State SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before starting)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- ASHA certification or CFY candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience in pediatrics or school-based therapy highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students with a variety of needs
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement goals
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and IEP development
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
- Serve as a resource and advocate for communication needs within the school community
