Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - K-12

An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide valuable services across multiple K-12 schools located in the West Frankfort, IL area, specifically in Mount Vernon and surrounding cities. This contract position supports a diverse student population with a range of speech and language needs, allowing for impactful contributions to their educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to develop appropriate intervention plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of approximately 30 students, focusing on articulation, language, and social communication goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure that each student's needs are being met effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust therapy approaches as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Engage in teletherapy sessions as required, utilizing digital tools to support students' learning experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL).
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Demonstrated experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule based on students' needs.
