Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide essential services in an elementary school setting located in Portland, ME. This role focuses on delivering direct therapy and assessments to K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ensuring they receive the support needed to thrive in their educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct direct therapy sessions for K-12 students with speech and language impairments.
  • Perform assessments and testing to evaluate speech and language needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and specialists during IEP meetings to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Participate in evaluations to track student progress and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, fostering an encouraging learning atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Active Maine SLP License.
  • CCC certification required.
  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students and staff.
