Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide valuable services in an elementary school setting in Lewiston, ME. This position focuses on delivering direct therapy to K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ensuring they receive the support necessary for their development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and testing to evaluate speech and language development.
  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to meet the needs of each student.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings to discuss progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Document and track student progress in accordance with best practices and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Current Maine SLP License.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
