Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist, where youll provide essential speech and language services to elementary and middle school students. This full-time opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8am to 3:30pm (37.5 hours per week). Youll play an integral part in helping young learners develop their communication skills and reach their educational goals.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current and active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license required
- Accepting both SLP-CCC and SLP-CF candidates
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Familiarity with elementary and middle school caseloads
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to working fully onsite throughout the school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in elementary and middle grades
- Administer evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure holistic support for students needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough records according to district and state requirements
- Consult with staff to incorporate speech and language strategies into classroom activities
