Job Description

This position offers an opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work within a pediatric outpatient clinic serving children aged 2 to 18 years. The role focuses on individual therapy for children primarily with mild to moderate speech and language challenges, including pragmatic language difficulties, receptive and expressive delays, reading and writing impairments, articulation disorders, and high-functioning autism spectrum conditions. The setting emphasizes one-on-one sessions rather than group therapy, providing an engaging and focused therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for pediatric clients.
  • Deliver direct, individualized therapy tailored to children with a range of mild to moderate communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with educational teams through attendance at Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
  • Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Advocate for clients communication needs within educational and clinical settings.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with school-based speech-language pathology practices.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental speech and language disorders including autism spectrum disorders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Location and Contract Details:

  • Position located in Tavernier, FL.
  • Serving a K-12 school-aged population in a pediatric outpatient clinic.
  • Contract position for one year with potential for extension or transition to permanent status.
