Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the upcoming school year, serving K-12 students in a well-established school district located near Syracuse, NY. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to support a diverse student population by delivering high-quality therapy services in an itinerant setting with paid travel time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy to students across kindergarten through 12th grade within the district
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with district requirements
  • Participate in paid team meetings and complete indirect administrative tasks
  • Utilize district-provided training and resources effectively to support student outcomes
  • Serve in a role that follows a caseload or workload model with caps as defined by the district

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but not required
  • Experience in pediatric, school-based, or teletherapy settings highly valued
  • Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and IEP processes
  • Ability to work independently in itinerant positions with paid travel between schools
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Position Details:

  • Full school year contract (start in September, ending in June)
  • Full-time: approximately 7.25 hours/day, 36.25 hours/week
  • Location: Schools within the district near Syracuse, NY; specific sites to be determined
  • Paid indirect time including preparation and administration
  • Interviews conducted via Zoom with quick turnaround for hiring decisions
