Job Description

An opportunity exists for a skilled professional to provide vital speech-language services in a supportive K-12 environment located in Sumter, SC. This contract position is set to commence on August 1, 2025, and will continue through May 29, 2026, catering to a diverse student population from Pre-K to 5th grade.

Location: Sumter, SC

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language assessments to students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to facilitate effective interventions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Utilize a caseload model to manage and prioritize therapy sessions effectively.
  • Provide direct therapy services and ensure dedicated space for sessions.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Current South Carolina SLP license and teaching certification.
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Familiarity with IEP systems and therapy models.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
