Step into an impactful contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist, guiding student communication and language development for the upcoming academic year. This full-time role runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering a fulfilling balance with 35 to 37.5 hours per week. Youll enjoy a dynamic schedule as you split your expertise between a special education preschool and an elementary school, making a difference across both environments.
Your skills as an SLPespecially holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)will be valued and supported, ensuring you have the resources needed to thrive working with diverse school-age populations.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current SLP CCC credential (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Eligibility for state SLP licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Compassion and adaptability for working with both preschool and elementary-aged children, including those in special education
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver individualized therapy services to students with communication and language challenges
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in partnership with a multidisciplinary team
- Provide direct therapy sessions and consultative support to adapt classroom strategies
- Document progress and maintain detailed case notes in compliance with school guidelines
- Foster an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere across both placements
