Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC preferred, or SLP-CFY).
  • Experience in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Strong assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language interventions.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.
  • Educate and support families regarding speech and language development and resources.
