Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students in White Bear Township, MN. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) runs from September 1st through October 13th, 2026, offering a dynamic and impactful role for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). You'll work with a high-needs caseload where every student utilizes AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, making your expertise crucial in helping them find their voice.

What you'll bring:

  • Current MN Department of Education SLP license
  • Completion of, or eligibility for, SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY
  • Prior experience working in school settings, especially with AAC devices, is highly valued
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support teams
  • Passion for empowering students with diverse communication needs

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments, therapy, and support for middle schoolers who rely on AAC devices
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Partner with classroom staff to integrate communication goals into daily activities
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive, student-centered planning
  • Offer training and guidance to staff and families on effective AAC use
