Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in an elementary school setting in Sterling Heights, MI, supporting students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. This contract position runs through the end of the school year, providing typical SLP responsibilities within a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to a caseload of K-5 students, addressing various speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in team meetings and administrative duties.
  • Utilize teletherapy methods as needed to provide flexible support options.
  • Adhere to all licensing and district requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan SLP license is required.
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience or interest in school-based settings preferred.
  • Proficiency in pediatric and healthcare SLP practices, including teletherapy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Information:

  • This assignment is school-based with no itinerant travel required.
  • Paid time is allocated for administrative tasks and team meetings.
  • No supervision responsibilities are currently assigned but subject to determination.
  • Interview process will be conducted via Zoom, with prompt decision making.
  • Start date is immediate, with the position ending at the close of the school year.
