Job Description

An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional specializing in speech-language pathology within an educational setting. This role involves providing crucial support to K-12 students, focusing on their communication needs for the current school year, the summer session, and into the 2025-26 school year.

Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly within school settings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse student population and staff

Location:

  • Sterling Heights, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students overall development
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to a supportive educational environment
