Make a meaningful impact as an onsite Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment near Staten Island, NY. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional ready to provide specialized support to students, leading 10 sessions each day and benefiting from a structured schedule with an additional hour designed for planning, collaboration, or wrap-up. With a consistent workload of 6 hours daily, Monday through Friday, you'll play a key role in helping students thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid NY State SLP License
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
- TSSLD/TSHH certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Dedication to fostering student growth and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language therapy sessions for a diverse caseload of students
- Evaluate, document, and track individual progress
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) in partnership with educational teams
- Engage in effective collaboration with educators, families, and other specialists
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in compliance with school and state standards
- Provide input to staff and families regarding strategies for communication improvement
