Job Description

A Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available at a K-12 school located in Staten Island, NY. This contract role offers the chance to support students in their communication development throughout the current school year (CSY). This position is ideal for SLP professionals holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) eager to contribute effectively in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments of students speech and language capabilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to monitor student progress
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students across all grade levels K-12 in line with educational goals

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) credentials required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
  • Experience working in school environments with K-12 populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and educational teams
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs and learning levels
