Job Description

An opening position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within a K-12 school setting in Stafford, VA. This contract role offers an opportunity to support students across various grade levels, working collaboratively as an itinerant clinician with potential to establish a full-time caseload. The ideal candidate will have experience working in school-based settings and be comfortable delivering both direct and indirect therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language pathology services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Deliver services via traditional in-person and teletherapy formats when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and compliance with district policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare and school settings.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy delivery methods.
  • Ability to travel between multiple school locations as an itinerant provider.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and staff.

Location: Stafford, Virginia

Duration: Contract covering the current school year (CSY), starting ASAP through end of school year.
