Job Description

A dynamic opportunity awaits for a skilled professional specializing in speech-language pathology within an educational setting. This position is ideal for an individual looking to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills during a maternity leave contract at a middle school.

Location: South Yarmouth, MA
Duration: Full-time contract from the beginning of May to the end of June

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Conduct therapy sessions for a varied caseload of 4th to 7th grade students.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Massachusetts SLP license and certification.
  • Hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Massachusetts DESE SLP credential.
  • Experience working in school settings is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
