Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students during the extended school year in South Bend, IN. This part-time position involves working directly with children to enhance their learning and development through therapeutic practices.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy License in Michigan
  • Previous experience in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and interventions
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment

Location:

  • South Bend, IN (Onsite)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for students.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure cohesive support for student needs.
  • Implement therapeutic activities designed to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy techniques as necessary.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategize on best practices.
