Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an early childhood school located in Schenectady, NY, serving children ages 3 to 5. This contract role during the school year offers the opportunity to support young learners in their communication development within a dynamic educational setting.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with educators and families, and monitoring progress to promote speech and language skills essential for early childhood success. The ideal candidate will be adept at working with this age group and possess strong clinical skills tailored to pediatric populations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience in school settings, early childhood, pediatrics, or healthcare environments is desired
  • Ability to provide Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) supervision is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working collaboratively with children, families, and school staff
