Job Description

Step into an engaging role supporting students across kindergarten through high school as an onsite Speech Language Pathologist with a respected school system near Schaumburg, IL. This contract position offers an opportunity to empower young learners in building critical communication skills across elementary, middle, and high school environments.

You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and a supportive leadership team in a vibrant school community, working onsite with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. All first-year SLPs, including those completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), are encouraged to applythis is a fantastic setting to develop your skills and make a significant difference.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Illinois State License (IDFPR) and ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SL endorsement
  • Willingness to work onsite in a school-based setting
  • Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations (K12)
  • Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations for K12 students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide therapy and interventions tailored to students' needs in individual and group settings
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow school and state guidelines for compliance
