A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a K-12 school setting in Santa Clarita, CA, beginning March 2026 through June 4, 2026. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in pediatric speech therapy, teletherapy, and those holding or pursuing their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Completed Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or fully certified SLPs
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) in educational settings
- Familiarity with pediatric speech therapy and teletherapy service delivery
- Strong understanding of healthcare protocols related to speech-language pathology
- Ability to manage caseloads averaging approximately 45 students
- Commitment to collaborative, individualized care and educational support
This contract position offers approximately 30 to 35 hours per week (to be determined) and requires flexibility as the exact school site will be confirmed closer to start date. The role involves providing direct therapy services, assessing student needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with school staff and families to support student communication development.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Delivering therapy sessions both in-person and via teletherapy platforms
- Monitoring student progress and documenting outcomes
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to individualized education program (IEP) development
