Job Description

Discover an exciting opportunity to impact young learners as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school environment for the fall semester. This contract role is perfect for a passionate professional eager to support preschool through 5th grade students while collaborating with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team. Youll work full-time (37.5 hours per week) from August 5th to December 19th, focusing on approximately 40 students across two elementary campuses.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid OTR/L license for practice in California
  • Experience in school-based Occupational Therapy services
  • Familiarity with evaluation and re-evaluation procedures
  • Strong background working with pediatric populations
  • Skilled in collaborating with teachers, parents, and related service professionals
  • Comfortable participating actively in IEP meetings and documentation
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to thrive independently and adapt in a school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to students in preschool through 5th grade
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Participate as an engaged member of the IEP team, creating and updating plans
  • Monitor progress and prepare timely reports for families and staff
  • Work closely with educators and staff to integrate OT strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to a collaborative, engaging environment
